China Showed Its Voice On Agricultural Sustainable Development Forum
Jul 27, 2017

The United Nations Headquarters in NY gave Agricultural Sustainable Development Forum held by United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, China Energy Fund Committee and China Shenzhen DaSheng Agriculture Group. More than 150 people from the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, Permanent Representatives to the United Nations, the United States Department of Agriculture and the experts and professors from the USA and China who are in the field of agriculture attended the meeting.

The President of the United Nations Economic and Social Council, Savannah, noted that the main problems afflicting global agricultural development were infrastructure and scientific and technological knowledge. He hoped that China and the United States, as well as other more developed regions, would assist Africa in developing agriculture. Also, He hoped that the construction of "One Belt One Road" could break the geographical barrier, extend to the necessary place, and help to push the cooperation and development of international agriculture.

The vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Chinese Energy Foundation, Mr. He Zhiping, said that the wealth of experience accumulated over the past 30 years had helped to promote further cooperation among the international community in such areas as agriculture, science and technology, economic development and global governance. The "One Belt One Road" initiative will greatly promote China's exchanges with small and medium-sized developing countries in the field of agriculture by promoting agricultural technology and successful experience to enhance agricultural productivity and food security, and ultimately to achieve full economic development.
